To improve the user experience, I suggest redesigning the left icon menu to take up less space, similar to the approach used in Teams or VS Code.
Smaller icons not only give the app a more modern and streamlined appearance but also make better use of screen real estate. Large icons, on the other hand, can feel bulky, reduce usable space, and may not align with the sleek, professional look expected in modern applications.
