What are the minimum configuration requirements to use Z by HP AI Studio?
Z by HP AI Studio requires Windows 10 or 11 OS, WSL, Git, Intel Core
i5 12th gen or higher, AMD Ryzen 9 or higher processors, minimum 50 GB of available storage, 16GB of RAM, and Internet access. To enable GPU compute, Z by HP AI Studio requires any NVIDIA
GPU compatible with driver version 528.89 or newer.
AI Studio works on non-HP devices if the minimum configurations are met.
HP released AI Studio for Windows 11 and Windows 10.
Linux version will be available later. There is no version for Apple devices yet.
NOTE: Some companies may have an IT policy that precludes admin privileges for individual users, which are required to install WSL and Git if they are not already installed.
Is there any advantage to running Z by HP AI studio on a Z by HP workstation vs. other brands?
No, there is no difference between running Z by HP AI Studio on Z by HP hardware vs other brands.
Is Z by HP AI Studio compatible with all computers, regardless of their brand?
Yes, Z by HP AI studio can be used on any hardware brand as long as the minimum configurations are met.
Can we use Z by HP AI Studio to share workstations/compute?
No, Z by HP AI Studio cannot be used to share workstations/compute. AI Studio it is used to ensure that all Data Scientists and teams are using the same tools, environments and data to ensure standardization across projects and teams. However, teams can view connected compute to identify team resources and who to reach out to should they want to request compute access.
